@SANTHOSH_21M@engineers_feed oh, yeah, I remember, I joined a team of 8 and it ended up a team of 2, the company liked the phrase "Do more with less". Or "Burn them out and get rid of them as they cant hack it"
The last American slave ship docked illegally in Mobile, Alabama, in 1860, carrying about 160 West African captives.
Among them was Cudjo Lewis, who recognized how his birth culture might be erased while toiling in this new land.
So when he was freed, he purchased two acres and started a self-sufficient community of survivors of the last slave ship.
Known to outsiders as Africatown, Lewis' neighborhood was modeled on his West African home, where extended families lived together, members conversed in their regional languages, and partook in traditions that might otherwise be lost to them in America.
Today, Africatown still exists and houses the descendants of the nation's last slave ship community.
At the heart of the liberal-left vision is the idea that the self-anointed saviors should be telling the rest of us, through the power of government, what we ought to do, what we can do and what we cannot do. They will define for us what is good and what is bad, remaking us in their image.
Iran just bombed a ton of civilians in Iraq and Syria and there’s nothing but crickets from the same people who screamed that the US was “massacring civilians” when they responded to Houthi piracy with an attack that killed ZERO civilians
FSU coach Mike Norvell releases a statement, saying he’s “disgusted” and “infuriated” by CFP decision: “What is the point of playing games? Do you tell players it is okay to quit if someone goes down? Do you not play a senior on Senior Day for fear of injury? Where is the motivation to schedule challenging non-conference games? We are not only an undefeated P5 conference champion, but we also played two P5 non-conference games away from home and won both of them.”
Since #NuclearEnergy is trending, here is my spiel.
Air Transportation generates about 2.4% of global carbon. The cost to decarbonize airlines by 2050 is estimated to be at least $5 Trillion. So about $2 trillion per percent of global carbon reduction.
Global electricity production generates about 40% of global carbon. It would take about 2500 nuclear power plants (1100 MW each) to supply the worlds electrical power. If we assume these plants cost the ridiculous amount of $8 Billion each, that is about $20 trillion. So about $0.5 trillion per percent of global carbon reduction. ¼ the cost to fix the air trans problem. #NuclearEnergy is the way
BTW, the reason nuclear plants cost $8 billion is because the safest form of energy (#NuclearEnergy) is also the most heavily regulated.
Route 218 (Storm King Highway/9W) in Orange County, New York/#HudsonValley has sustained catastrophic damage.
A summer’s worth of rain fell in a single day.
Current scene in West Point, New York / #HudsonValley 🌊
The radar estimates that over 10 inches of rain fell today, nearly the amount that typically falls over an entire summer!
⚠️ There’s more rain to come…
