The Health Secretary has taken £372,000 from private health-linked donors since entering parliament. That's at a rate of £10,000 a month since taking office. His biggest donor owns companies that recruit NHS managers AND private health executives.

This week he also gave himself the power to override the independent body that stops the NHS being overcharged for drugs.

Doug Allan, David Attenborough’s cameraman, has died in Nepal aged 74.

Doug, who recorded footage for BBC programmes such as Blue Planet, was described as a ‘true pioneer of wildlife film-making’.

He was a fabulous cameraman; after working as a research diver with the British Antarctic Survey, he became an expert in filming in some of the world’s wildest and most inhospitable places. You will have seen his work in Blue Planet, Frozen Planet and many more iconic Natural History series. He was wonderful man - full of love for the natural world, laughter, fun.

He died doing what he loved. 🎥

Scientists have added emperor penguins to the 'Red List' of species at risk of extinction, warning that global warming has plunged the population into steep decline.

The International Union for Conservation of Nature said climate change was rapidly melting the ice in Antarctica where the penguins breed and find food. The Antarctic fur seal has also been put on the endangered list.
