Fiji and New Zealand are now among the only countries on Earth to go 100 days or more without cases of #COVID19 in our communities.
Well done to the New Zealand Government and people –– your friends in Fiji have all been rooting for your success.

A month ago, Yakima had one of the highest COVID-19 rates in the country. Today, they have bent the curve and are one of the few counties in WA heading in the right direction.
What changed? They went from 65% to 95% of people wearing masks.

It is imperative on all of us, especially those in positions to impact the lives of the people we serve, to continue pushing for justice across America.
We have made progress in Washington state, but our march toward equality is far from over.
The Trump admin. promised to deliver our state 580,000 test swabs in the month of May.
It's now the 15th. We have only received 60,000.
If the president is as interested in beating this virus as he says, he should deliver on his promises to do it.
If we want an equitable future, we have to engage in civic life today. Last week, @MichelleObama and @BarackObama surprised some high school students during a @CPSCivicLife virtual town hall and discussed the importance of staying engaged in our democracy during this crisis.

Those of us working in school districts who are privileged to serve students & their families during closure AND be paid for it need to remember how fortunate we are. Rather than give in to self-pity, selfishness & pettiness, let’s strive for gratitude, generosity & grace.
If we want life to approach anything like normal anytime soon, we need a comprehensive testing program. It’s not going to be cheap, but it will ultimately pay off many times over in saved lives, saved businesses, and saved jobs. https://t.co/pnN9KVcvQR
The president’s statements this morning encourage illegal and dangerous acts. He is putting millions of people in danger of contracting COVID-19.
His unhinged rantings and calls for people to “liberate” states could also lead to violence. We’ve seen it before. 1/7
Washington, you have responded to the call to stay home. That means we should have more good news to share. But know this:
If we relax now, we risk undoing all the progress we’ve made together.
Now more than ever - Stay home. Stay healthy.

There's no way to convey the gratitude I have for our health care workers. But I promise them this:
➡️ I will keep working to get the PPE you need to stay safe
➡️ We will do everything we can to keep Washingtonians healthy in the first place
