See you there!
@mianbsp @CBasis I personally stopped blogging at the community site due to several tool issues with the new tooling. First I have to review and fix over 50 of my old blog posts because the migration just destroyed them.
@wolf_gregor@mattharding@wridgeu Iโm using this since years. You can also use it to search via terms and find your notes. I was not aware that this is such a big deal. It saves a lot of time

The release of #s4hana 2023 is close.
There will be a 2-year release cycle (next release: S/4 2025) and a 7-year mainstream maintenance.
#saphana SPS7 (min. Rev 71) is mandatory! (AS+HDB: SLES15 or RHEL8/9 needed!)
Be aware of the details regarding the compatibility packs!
If you start a conversion project for FPS1 or 2 (almost no one uses FPS0), freeze the tools and use multi-iteration sandboxes, you can expect a runtime of 2-2.5 years (in complex scenarios with problems and optimized downtime). Do major customers have to hurry?
2/2
If you are evaluating #s4hana conversion for a too long period, it can happen that the conversion (not the product) is not supported any more.
FPS2 of S/4 2020 was released 05/2021 and 2 years later the jump is no longer supported (limitation was released on 25.05.2023).

It was a DDoS attack and no planned maintenance.
The question: A random or targeted victim?

Some news in the context of BW/4HANA:
The 2023 release will be published by end of October.
Be aware that BW/4HANA 2.0 is only in maintenance until the end of 2024.
The new SPS schedule is also in progress for it.
=> product will have 7 years of support

2570371 - FAQ: SAP HANA Execution Engine (HEX)
Workaround:
3252244 - How-To: Disable HANA Execution Engine (HEX) temporarily
Not all issues are linked in the FAQ HEX note and some SPS6 revisions are affected as well.
A lot of customers currently planning to upgrade to #saphana SPS07 and asking me for a appropriate revision. In my opinion the first Rev. 70 - 72 can only be used in non-prod systems.
We are currently testing the latest Rev. 73 but this one has still some HEX performance issues.
@SAPLearning I know how it works and it's perfectly find to retire an exam, but you missed to sync the product streams with your certification validity.
No valid certification for the release is available for customers who need to upgrade to SPS07 by the end of the year.
Does it make sense that the #saphana certification C_HANATEC_17 (SPS05) has already expired? A product which will be supported until 2025.
