@phubans When it comes to reach one of my indie friends wound up finding a wider audience on instagram of all places. Before that theyโd found success here by asking questions to encourage replies and qrts. @yano_gamedev But I think Madhouse may be more niche than retro montamers.
@phubans@urmonotheismus But nobody is excited for โBaad Tripโ. Itโs the same thing with a different skin. Madhouse and Mina the Hollower are way above that on the radar for a lot of people. Even Peak was only hyped for a month or two before it fell off. Games need to be unique enough to be memorable.
Today I added store buttons and live discounts to both my RHH-Ports website and to my Pharos application. Now it's easy to see when one of my ports is on sale! This should help both my users and the indie devs I support.
In case you missed it, we just released a DLC for Dokimon: Quest yesterday!
The DLC is 20% off for it's launch week, making it just $3.99 for a limited time
Help us spread the word, shares super appreciated!
I made a few big changes recently to my ports. Ports using gmloader-next now use a runtime, and I added an RPGMaker section for mkxp-z! My website has received a bit of ui overhaul, and Pharos now has a sort toggle (replacing the filter toggle).
@MorsGames This is the best case scenario imo. Our minds are filled with imagination and creativity. It's life responsibilities and time that blocks us from acting on it. Not everyone can break out.
@MorsGames The world around ai is oversaturated with those who see it merely as a means to an end and not as a learning tool. I think anyone who claims ai did anything 100% correctly is full of crap.
@MorsGames Industries everywhere want ai to be used because it can do repetitive tasks quickly. It can be told to do something while the prompter does something else at the same time. It needs refinement, but it's not a poison when used correctly and by wise people.
@MorsGames It's down to priorities and time. If I don't have a decade or more of experience, and I want to play a decompiled childhood favorite as a modern port, and nobody's seemingly doing it, then why not use AI to help? If it works, neat. If it doesn't, oh well (1/x).
@MorsGames In the meantime, I will learn a bit about code in general and how things go from text to a running program. From my point of view that's a win-win. Now, if I were trying to make a port for a wide audience, there's more to it. Going solo with ai assistance only works if (2/x)
