A Muslim association in France has expressed concern over the renewed enthusiasm surrounding Catholicism during Pope Leo XIV’s visit, saying that “in 45 years, France will become Catholic again, and we’ll be left with nothing but our tears.”

The group added that Catholics are “much better organized” and “more determined” than Muslims, and warned that the influence of American Catholicism could help fuel the growth of Catholicism around the world.

Relics aren’t a medieval invention.

They’re biblical.

God worked through the bones of Elisha:

“When the man touched the bones of Elisha, he came back to life.”
2 Kings 13:21

A woman was healed by touching Christ’s garment.
Mark 5:27–30

Handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched St. Paul were carried to the sick, and “the diseases left them.”
Acts 19:11–12

From the very beginning, Christians understood that God can use physical things associated with His saints as instruments of His grace.

The practice didn’t disappear after the Apostles.

The early Christians gathered at the tombs of the martyrs, celebrated the Eucharist over their relics, and preserved their remains with reverence.

Relics trace a physical lineage through Christianity:

The Apostles → the martyrs → the Church Fathers → the saints → the Church today.

Christianity has never been merely an idea passed down in books.

It is a faith rooted in real people, real bodies, real places, and real history.

The relics are a tangible reminder:

The saints were real.
The Apostles were real.
The Church they founded was real.
And that Church is still here.

The faith of the first Christians did not vanish into history.

It is still alive today, in every Catholic Church.

The plot thickens regarding the recent Koran recital inside a Catholic church in Belgium. As I reported (link below), the Arabic passage the muezzin chose to chant was dedicated to condemning idolatry and idol worship — a curious choice for a Muslim to pick while inside a Catholic church full of statues, crosses, and images, all of which are, of course, idolatry to Muslims.
Turns out that church leaders had screened and approved this Koran passage beforehand (link below).
No doubt, for them, condemning idolatry and idol worship is perfectly okay. After all, as Christians — even as Catholic Christians — they do not see themselves as idol worshippers.
Fine. But are they that oblivious to the fact that Islam sees them — indeed, sees all Christians — as idol worshippers?
Yes, Muslim apologists and goons of all sorts like to insist that Islam categorizes Christians as "people of the book," not as polytheists.
What they don't tell you is that the absolute worst form of idolatry (shirk) in Islam is the association of someone or something else with God (Allah). And Islam makes unequivocally clear that belief in the Trinity is absolutely idolatry — meaning even image-eschewing Protestants are idolaters according to Islam.
Both Catholic and Protestant "leaders" should know this before approving of Koran recitals absolutely meant to degrade them inside their own church.
