Stupid me with Cursor...
I subscribed to the $20 plan last week, and when Opus 4.8 came out, I wanted to give it a try.
I got used to create a plan with Composer and build with Opus.
I was working on a new feature, and after few iterations I had a solid plan.
Then I clicked Build... boom, API limit reached.
I had already used all my quota without realizing it.
At that point, my brain apparently stopped working (or maybe I was just tired)
Instead of switching back to Composer to generate the code, I went into the settings and enabled on-demand spending to be able to continue with Opus (first mistake)
I was thinking it would probably cost $1 or $2 max (second mistake)
The build finished.
I checked the usage.
$18.50
Almost the price of my entire monthly subscription for implementing a feature with 8 to-dos π€¦ββοΈ
Lesson learned
