One month ago today, Trump said "when you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero, that’s a pretty good job we’ve done."
As of today, the US, with 81,782 confirmed cases, has more total cases than any country in the world.
It's genuinely insane that from country to country, and now from state to state, every single hotspot says "We should have acted earlier" while every place that hasn't been hit yet says, "But we don't have to act now because it's not a problem here."
The cruise industry registers as foreign companies to avoid paying US taxes. Now they want US bailout money.
Now the same Republicans who say immigrants who pay US taxes shouldn’t get help are bending over backwards to give 🤑 to foreign companies who DON’T pay taxes.
Insane.
Listen, I know times are tough, but if we all just try to die a little harder, the billionaire class might be able to make 1% more profit from this crisis
Why is it so hard to understand that our economy is us and we are the economy? If you think 1% of the country dying is going to be good for your portfolio, first of all you're a sociopath, but also you're in for a world of hurt when society breaks down.
I'm #NotDying4WallStreet.
The same people saying we should kill the elderly to save the economy "for our grandchildren" are currently French-frying the globe those grandchildren are goin to live on.
It ain't about the kids. It's about the donors and those big fat checks. #NotDying4WallStreet
The last thing America needs is more insanely wealthy people sitting in bunkers with immediate, guaranteed access to coronavirus tests if they cough even once telling us we need to go back to work to save their stock portfolios.
