I'm an organic designer, I mold well. Graphic Design, UX/UI, small/large print, 3D , Architecture. I'm classic and modern trained and ready to branch out.
Designing character sheets. Wondering now what role-players like to fill in for their character descriptions.
What do you think?
#boardgames#tabletopgames#dungeonmaster
@NaughtRobot Right! I try to picture my age 10 and under nephews thumbing through those rulebooks, then giving me that "more homework" look before going back to smash bros on their switches. The rules need to be clear, concise, and presumably less strict. Agree?
I'm wire framing for a RPG I've been wanting to build for ages. Primary goal is taking out the drag of rolling dice, complication of which dice, and missed satisfaction by leveling up too slow.
What made you hate Role-playing games?
#boardgames#tabletopgames
@spofgamesmag@BoardGameAcad Yeah, hate was a strong word. I like the action points element. I think 7th Seas has something called drama dice. It made me more creative about my attacks. Nice one!
@Skinner_Games I used to make custom maps with my friends for #HeroQuest. We used to fill the rooms with so many mobs that we made a house rule that spells could AoE a room instead of single targets. Good memories there.
@BrightLitegames It's just a bit smarter about things like pathfinder tools, and the best part in my opinion is you can work to scale on larger things. Illustrator has a limit to the workspace, Flexi you can type in whatever size. I've done semi-trailer graphics for a 50 footer to scale.
If you're introducing someone to board games, what is the first game you typically pull out? For us, Just One usually is a great way to invite people in before you know it they're playing Lisboa. Would love to hear your first games! #boardgames
@kovraystudios I have to give you one from each category:
Dice: Unearth
Cards: Smash-Up
Collaborative: Pandemic
Classic: Clue
Deckbuilder: Flip City or Ascension
Uncomplicated: Tsuro

Learned some great hierarchy tricks. I was trained as an Illustrator to always make images flow in U shapes or O shapes to keep the viewer on the page. Learned about Z shapes and F shapes, the most common ways to keep web viewers interested. Mind blown. #UXdesign
@JeffHiatt1 Is the gameplay fun? I spent probably 4 months off and on painting all the figures for it. And never played it, lol. Did the same thing for Arcadia Quest.
