Today, the Taliban passed a law that bans women from showing their faces and having their voices heard in public. Their burqas must now entirely cover their faces and they are not permitted to speak in public or to look at any males that are not relatives. Perhaps it’s been an emotional year, or maybe it’s because I’m triggered, but I once again cried when I heard the news. I’m still trying to piece myself together. Not even animals are treated with such cruelty, such dehumanization, such indignity, and such little value for human life. This is the entire erasure of the existence of women, and it cuts me to the core to know what Afghanistan and Iran were before this cancerous plague was brought to us. Where are the protests? Where is the outrage? Where is the ICJ? The ICC? Amnesty? Why doesn’t anybody care about the effective enslavement of millions of women under the jihadist system of gender apartheid?
Businesses and households in Cape Town can now apply to sell excess energy from their solar systems to the city.
A big step forwards to resolving power cuts.

Please, please make use of our free IdentiKidz service at all the busy beaches this holiday.
Kids are easily separated from their parents on a busy, crowded beach.
When you arrive at the beach, visit the IdentiKidz stall and register your name, number and address. Your child will be given a bracelet, that allows us to track you down if your child is separated from you.
This service reunites many children with their families every year. Please use it, and spread the word!

daniel sloss being one of the very few comedians happy/being safe enough to talk about RB non-anonymously a) doesn’t surprise me, but b) makes me very glad that this clip is truly how he lives his life and it wasn’t all talk https://t.co/DkcP4snKCs
@MmusiMaimane You know who had gotten this so right? South Korea - the way they've built kpop into a global force is what could happen with amapiano, and others as the culture evolves, if nurtured properly...
