SOURCES: @OmahaBSB is expected to hire Western Kentucky assistant and recruiting coordinator Rob Fournier as its next head coach, I'm told. Fournier has spent four seasons at WKU and previously was a standout head coach at Wabash Valley CC. That's an excellent get for the Mavericks.

Earlier this week, our team completed a new #artificialturf installation at @OleMiss' Jordan Family Field, located in the Olivia & Archie Manning Athletics Performance Center 🏈 The new system replaces the previous @FieldTurf surface, which had been in place for 16 years!

This collaboration is just the latest between FieldTurf and @OleMissSports 🤝 Other installations include the Manning Center's outdoor practice field, along the sidelines at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, in the foul territory and bullpens at Alisa and Mark Bourne Stadium, and at the Ole Miss Band practice field 🥁 Go Rebels!

College athletics is so crazy now.

Cal baseball, a team located on the Pacific coast but somehow in the ACC, flew to Charlotte, North Carolina for a single-elimination conference tournament game against Stanford… a school 90 minutes from their campus.

They traveled 2,715 miles across the country to play a regional rival, lost one game, then had to hop on a 5.5-hour flight back to California 😂
