As cool as cybersecurity is, I've decided I want to go more into a web developer role (maybe with web security being one of my specialities?). I would just enjoy that job much more
I literally cannot wait to shake hands with someone who says "...I never understood or studied cyber security until another country invaded my own and I learned how to use OSINT to keep people safe and now my career is in infosec"
Future hopes
I hope we get a strong wave of STEM & cybersecurity interested individuals who were inspired by this weeks events
If I was healthier I would absolutely love to go over after this was over and help teach & educate
It is amazing to me how many lives infosec & OSINT likely saved
It sucks seeing @defcon taking heat for protecting victims of harassment. I’m glad they’re not budging. Their code of conduct is clear and they said all they needed to say.
Raspberry Pi Project #8
Set up an LED that uses Pulse Width Modulation so the light gradually fades in and out. Was interesting to see how the code for this one works. Just a simple for loop that increases the brightness then resets.
Code and parts provided by Freenove.
Raspberry Pi Project #7
Installed a DNS ad-blocker with Pi-Hole. Nice to be able to block web ads on any web browser without the use of a plugin just by configuring my devices' DNS server to my Raspberry Pi.
