"I love the Aggie spirit, I like the academic excellence of the place, and I love every single day that I spend on the A&M campus. I'm proud to be part of this school. Proud to be an Aggie." – Former President George H.W. Bush
Today at @NASCAR's celebration of the @USNavy's 250th anniversary, Texas A&M honors the legacy of Former President George H.W. Bush, whose life of service continues to inspire generations of Aggies.
@brucesooners67 They do this at the CWS every year right after a team is eliminated their merch is on clearance to sell it. Locals will always tell you to wait on buying merch for this exact reason to avoid full price lol
The B-52 crash near Edwards Air Force Base that claimed the lives of eight American servicemembers is tragic.
The aircraft, known as the “Spirit of Aggieland,” was familiar to generations of Aggies through flyovers above Kyle Field and its longstanding ties to Texas A&M.
Heidi and I are praying for the families of those lost and all who are grieving this tragedy.
A legacy carried onto the track.
In celebration of the @USNavy’s 250th Anniversary, @NASCAR makes its way to Naval Base Coronado. At @NASCARSanDiego, the No. 41 will honor the legacy of the 41st president of the United States, George H.W. Bush, a naval aviator whose courage shaped a lifetime of leadership.
Texas A&M and @HaasFactoryTeam proudly present a new livery celebrating the values Bush embodied and Texas A&M upholds: service, character, duty and selfless commitment.

#Marines with 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing take part in a sundown ceremony for the AV-8B Harrier II at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina.
The “sundown” of the AV-8B Harrier II, an iconic aircraft that has supported joint and Marine Corps operations for over 40 years, also represents the dawn of a new era; it paves the way for 2nd MAW’s full transition to the F-35B and C Lightning II.
VMA-223 is the U.S. Marine Corps' last operational Harrier squadron.

@Grumpy_Hoosier@RealAirPower1 It has. Though the missile hardware is mostly the same the radar and software is what sets it apart now for targeting acquisition. Would be like comparing a computer from the 60's to nowadays. Night and day.
@Ab9ebIn@SGTWipper1Each Try 2025 lol. They just recently deactivated the last Harrier squadron but that's Marine aviation for you keep it flying until the absolute last second possible.
@JesseFRoux@SGTWipper1Each At this point almost 80 years later they should start grounding the aircraft to preserve them in museums. They've flown enough since WW2 and plenty of modern video footage that can be viewed for future generations.
