@BITCH_SLAPPED_@ripjetson9 The reason people are coming out with these devices were that people were already getting hurt. People with .083 bottom rails and 1” seat bars are still breaking backs. We need to actually look at the time frame of when we feel these injuries spiked.
@ripjetson9 Yes they are, why I say they may not tell you everything. I don’t know how suspension affects a sprint car on a flat bottom hit. You would think it would soften the blow. Were seat bars getting bent a thing in the past?
@ripjetson9 Gotcha. I know sled tests may not tell you everything but the XC Gear drop test was 433g’s at the sled & 100g’s to the pelvis sensor. I feel like that’s something. Next question. I know they went to .095 bottom rails. What other areas are stiffer now?
@carson_macedo Mid last year we started running one on LF on the sprint car. We kept coming in with a lot of mud in LF wheel, especially a place like Kokomo. I know there are other in non wing running them as well.
@ripjetson9 Only thing I’ll say is I ran belts without ratchet as tight as I can get them with a ratchet. With Monkey Bars, only time it’s going to compress is a flat landing. Cars normally don’t flip after that. I don’t think there is enough to loosen belts
@ripjetson9@photosbyspot I remember when it happened and seeing the news. There were always stories about stupid law suits. Probably half weren’t legit. To think the judge is the one that issued the payout & how it was pennys of coffee sales
@brayden_mcmahan I’ll never forget when Amy took all 3 tests that came in the box and still wanted to go to the doctor to verify. The nurses look was like, you’re here why? He’s now a 17 year old sprint car driver. Wouldn’t change a second of it.
@BlakeAnderson@cbnationals What continues to kill me is how there can be 60-70 rookies every year. Where do they all come from and where do they all go?
@Nick_Hoffman2 I thought for sure it would only get worse & they’d have to cancel. We were in 1st practice and I could hardly see the car on track. Finally cleared off. Almost got fogged out there one night many years ago.
