@HunterStires@johnkonrad@russvought@SenTedCruz@DavieDefense@POTUS@USCG@WHOMB 1. We did see, yesterday, as a foreign shipbuilder committed itself publicly to a billion dollar investment in US shipbuilding in front of the governor of a major state, the Chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee, the uniformed leader of the USCG, and the Director of OMB.
Promise made, promise kept.
At the Davie Defense Groundbreaking Ceremony at Gulf Copper Shipyard in Galveston, TX, we’re delivering on the President’s commitment to restore American shipbuilding—thanks to strong industry and government partnerships.
The Davie Defense shipyard is going to create high-paying, skilled jobs across this region — jobs for welders, engineers, and technicians. I want to thank the leaders and the workers who helped make this possible.
As Chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee, I made sure that the Coast Guard got the largest investment in its history – over $24 billion, more than double its entire annual budget – in the landmark Working Families Tax Cuts Act last summer.
This shipyard shows that when you eliminate government bureaucracy and back it with real investment, opportunity inevitably follows.
OMB Director @russvought underscored that the Arctic Security Cutters that will be built here at Gulf Copper are crucial to President Trump’s shipbuilding strategy and the administration’s commitment to restoring America’s maritime dominance.
@russvought@SenTedCruz@DavieDefense@POTUS@USCG@WHOMB Director @russvought discusses the Trump administration “Finland Model” policy and the importance using parent shipyards to begin the initial ships while companies like @DavieDefense make their big investments like we’re seeing today in Galveston,Texas.
Both Lincoln and Obama were able to see the world through their opponents eyes and recognize that gave them strength as politicians.

Imagine the audacity to celebrate the 250th birthday of the greatest nation that the world has ever known. The nation that has lifted more people out of poverty, raised literacy rates, and whose poorest citizens are richer than the rest of the world. Stunning.
DID YOU KNOW:
The U.S. Navy sustainably manages over 50,000 acres of forest in Indiana, including dedicated stands of white oak, to ensure a long-term supply of the large, high-quality timber necessary for restoring and maintaining the USS Constitution?
Well now you do.
Trees are grown for 150+ years to reach the size and strength needed to replace Old Ironsides’ original wooden hull components.
Pope Leo XIV writes that the Catholic teaching on Just War Theory “is now outdated”
“Today, more than ever, without prejudice to the right to self-defense in the strictest sense, it is important to reaffirm that the 'just war' theory, which has all too often been used to justify any kind of war, is now outdated.”
