@WallStreetApes They didn’t want to pay $1 billion. They wanted high assurance and had a procurement model built around paying for that assurance. SpaceX proved reliability could be achieved cheaper, which is impressive. Today a Falcon 9 military launch costs significantly more than $50 million.

Hopefully one day they will realise that it is mostly vapourware from Elon.
