Otherwise, bc of structural reasons in the states, it becomes a way to prevent DSA candidates from running minor party ballot access determinant races when a DSA-endorsed Dem is in the race, rather than a way to lock out GOP.

@pkgandakin Essentially this causes de facto deference to the Dem ballot line because minor party deadlines often match the majors, but their primary dates often don’t.

Plus this prevents any DSA strategy to hedge our presidential bets in 2028 & run in the Green primary as well.

2 DSA members file to run (1 D, 1 G) & for endorsement, they both win their primary, now DSA endorsement process determines either one’s fate in DSA.

If DSA is not its own ballot line, it shouldn’t be in a position to do that.

Imagine the Dem candidate demanding debate stage access for their Green comrade!
