The downtown community has experienced an enormous loss with the passing of Chef James Kent, the visionary mind behind some of the neighborhood’s most celebrated restaurants and a true champion of Lower Manhattan.

The Block Center for Jewish Exploration and Education is having a "Block Party" on Sunday, June 11, 11 am-2 pm on 51st Street between 2nd and 3rd in front of Sutton Place Synagogue. The street will be closed, and there is something for everyone (Kids, Teens, Adults) to enjoy.
