Polygon Hits Visa Like Payment Speeds

Polygon (@0xPolygon) says its network now supports up to 5,000 payments per second following a recent upgrade.

According to the team, that puts Polygon in the same tier as Visa's average daily payment load, while operating at a fraction of the cost.

The milestone comes as Polygon's Open Money Stack enters technical preview, targeting stablecoin payments, neobanks, and financial institutions through a single integrated API.
