Why smart people often do stupid things: Intelligence isn't a substitute for wisdom.
Intelligence is the capacity to learn. Wisdom is converting learning into good judgment.
Using brainpower requires willpower. It takes self-control to choose future gains over current impulses.

Had the amazing privilege of hangin’ with Shelley Moore (@tweetsomemoore) today! Shelley - you’re a gift to the world. Today inspired and reminded us of our why - so grateful for your voice in this educational landscape!
Still thinking about NCTM in DC and what an incredible experience it was this year! If you went- what was your favorite new learning? I honestly can’t choose one, but seeing so many amazing speakers preaching engaging and equitable instructional practice makes my heart sing!
@pgliljedahl - I will truly never get tired of hearing your brilliance. This method of note-taking has changed the game for me as a BTC teacher. Curious about a strong consolidation? Check it out! https://t.co/CWWuejLP8e
@pwharris I see 16 x 100 which is 1600. Since I know 3/4 of 16 is 12, and that 75 is 3/4 of 100, then 16 x 75 is the same as 3/4 of 1600 which is 1200.
@DavidKButlerUoA First I can see the chunk circled in green is several rows of three which means that quantity is definitely a multiple of 3 … and I see (in blue) 3 groups of four which means that quantity is also a multiple of three .. so the total definitely is!
