@SaltiestSwede when it comes to policy, I'm in favor of what is known as the heartbeat bill. Once a heartbeat is detected, the baby cannot be aborted. I'm unsure of what policy would be regarding rape, incest, etc, but I would want to see it as a case-by-case basis instead of a blanket law.

By pro-choice logic, my brother, sister & I should've been aborted because my mom was a single mother. More so my brother; he's autistic. My daughter should've been aborted too. I was 20 & unmarried when she was born, & her father left us. We're all doing fine now. Just sayin'.

@SaltiestSwede That's where the debate lies. I'm personally a life a conception pro-lifer, meaning if I was ever forced against my will to have sex, and I became pregnant, I would choose to keep the baby because I don't believe the baby should lose it's life over the sin of another. However,

@GOP4ever I believe that's their reasoning. However, I would ask those who say this how economic status and mental illness degrades the sanctity of life so much that it's okay to terminate it? And come up with other examples where the principle applies.

@GOP4ever I understand that. But economic status/struggle and mental illness are justifications regularly utilized by those who advocate abortion. I know I only covered two justifications. They're the ones that apply to my life situation.

@SaltiestSwede In the US, rape has been broadened out in meaning, so rape would have to be specifically defined. As for as deciding for themselves, abortion is a severely slippery slope w/ few limiting principles. In what other cases would it be ok for someone to have innocent life terminated?

I was that girl; that girl who was pregnant at 19, mother at 20, & single mom at 21. He left. My daughter & I became statistics.

By societal standards, I should've been the girl who maybe got an abortion, or upon choosing to keep my daughter, relied on the welfare state

@HeyyyIzNala Marketers are trying to sell things. And no, marketers are generally not scuzzy shady people out to make a quick buck. That's a short sighted mentality because people catch on to stuff like that. I'd be hard pressed to say marketers and pedos are comparable.

@HeyyyIzNala Well, the concept of choice is a difference. Marketing only works once a choice is made. Pedophiles... most that we know of generally don't care about the choices of a child, let alone a child's parent. Next, I generally don't believe marketers are aiming to hurt children.
