@sribee11 Okay but how do you go to LA and not even tell a dude who flew two places to see you — then yawn (uncovered) in his face twice? It’s not the dating independence that makes her unlikable, it’s the rudeness!
@Egangoonsquad@simonschuster Ha, gosh, thank you. Now I feel entirely unobservant! 🤣 Needless to say, I appreciate you, and I think your literary work is truly amazing. We, as readers, are lucky to have you.
@Egangoonsquad@simonschuster Thanks so much for getting back to me! I did, of course, find your website; I just couldn’t find the section where one can move back and forth between some overlap in the two books, which is referred to on the S&S site. Sorry for being unclear!
@Kent_in_Utah@transfemby@gabemschneider /Embryo. Meaning, the word abortion itself umbrellas both of those. (Also, factually this divide is “pro-choice” and “anti-choice,” but you insist that accuracy isn’t the right naming strategy, so, okay, I won’t argue that. 🤷🏻♀️)
@Kent_in_Utah@transfemby@gabemschneider Your original premise is incorrect. The terms anti-abortion (rights/access) & pro-abortion (rights/access) absolutely do NOT frame the issue in terms of women’s rights & not (umm) “fetal rights.” The word abortion defines an act that affects both the pregnant person & the fetus.
@ba_lyons Thank you! I’m the first person in my family to graduate college, and becoming a PhD / prof. is definitely one of my greatest achievements. Navigating college life hits differently when your parents can’t advise you. I’m glad to be able to offer that perspective to my students.
@Mom2Tomas@claudiamconwayy@gtconway3d I am not talking about his past or leanings. I’m saying his statement wasn’t a lie. I’m staunchly progressive and pro-Roe, and not even saying I like Conway. I’m making a point that bad rhetoric helps / persuades no one, and we need real help and persuasion now more than ever.
@Library02375@Mom2Tomas@claudiamconwayy@gtconway3d Critical thinking, research methodologies, argumentation and persuasive writing, usually through the lens of social justice issues. (Though anyone could parse a sentence’s validity.) Calling someone who didn’t make an actual claim about an outcome a liar doesn’t hold much water.
@Mom2Tomas@claudiamconwayy@gtconway3d Ummm. What about “I think” and “it’s unlikely” is a lie? He thought wrong. It might of been unlikely, but unlikely things happen. None of an educated guess that ended up wrong is a lie. 🤣🤣🤣 Nice try, though.
