@john_hattie What is the effect size of streaming students based on ability? I was looking through your visible learning effect sizes and couldn't find it 🙂
@eduleadership I had a look through your TikToks and couldn't find what I was looking for... Im keen to hear your opinion on every class in a school individually "co-constructing classroom expectations" with students vs. School-wide consistent expectations 🙂
@samsparella There is no growth in agreement. He should welcome all perspectives, or believe in his own beliefs and approach so vehemently, that he doesn’t care what people say.
@dylanwiliam@Larryferlazzo Absolutely! I lead curriculum and we have a range of standardized tests that allow us to know at all times, where students are at 🙂
@dylanwiliam@Larryferlazzo Good point! If referring to system level data (NAPLAN, PAT etc.) then no, not really. That data helps me track the progress / growth of school initiatives. But, school-based assessments on what I have taught and formative assessments? Every single day!
@ponderingDan @theheraldsun NAPLAN is not easily analyzed for use to inform next steps for teachers. We have much better assessments; where the purpose, analysis and use is authentic and clear. Our assessments are administered more often and the results are immediate. We don’t need NAPLAN to teach better.
@samantha4bs Sad but true. It’s all incredibly divisive - why we just agree to disagree, and let people choose for themselves. I’m still gobsmacked that people aren’t free to make their own medical decisions 🙄
@ACurrentAffair9 What about the idiots that call 000 when it’s not an emergency….. they need to get better at triaging - send ambulances to true emergencies, taxis to those that just need transport and divert people to their nearest GP. Work smarter, not harder.
