@BGFH79 Right. I have no problem with them enjoying it. But in doing so, they need to be careful. Make it too much of a focus and it's like taking candy away from a baby. You'll only be even more depressed later as a result, if you have that kind of attitude towards blindness.

@Lori_baker01 @AM980News By teaching children to rely on them for an enjoyable experience, it makes it harder for them to prepare for what life will actually be like, for them to learn how to embrace their differences and how they can adapt. By the time they start learning, they're playing catchup.

@Lori_baker01 @AM980News The problem is the implied message behind the article, that some things are only worth doing when someone can see. The loss of a sense is such a big deal because society isn't built to properly accommodate those who have lost it.

Is that all that matters, beauty over functionality? Over inclusivity, and the right for a person to live where they'd like to? Being disabled is expensive enough, without having to come up with accommodations for one's own home.
