B. You should read the descriptions to help transport you into the world you’re reading. They’re there for a reason.

C. But if just reading the dialogue and skimming grafs is a gateway into starting to read, please do that, too.

I’m up to 22 books so far in 2026, I promise you, you can read all the words the author has put on the page. But mostly I’m just glad that there is a thriving community of people online choosing to spend their time reading physical books instead of spending too much time on the internet.
