@ferron_web I have filesystem level compression so it's not _that_ bad, but it does speak to the level of duplication in the target folder that builds up over time

2nd hand 2+ gen old flagship Android phones that you can root+reflash are actually pretty killer value wise - even if just for the RAM. Going to see if I can make a cluster.
@DMacOnchain I am definitely going to try building & running an Irys node on one of them - no reason it wouldn't work! heck I could probably mount an external HDD over USB and get it properly mining
very good £/GB (ram and storage), built in UPS (battery), touchscreen if you want it, (decently) powerful and efficient CPU&GPU (and even an NPU.. if you can figure out how to use it (good luck)). only real downsides are ethernet over OTG & soldered parts.
@geofflangdale how much information about the hardware does it have? does it have a perfect model that can tell it exactly how the hardware will behave given a series of instructions?
