As a reminder, the unelected CLC sets the corporate law for Delaware that governs the majority of corporations in the country. And they are again trying to do it without time for the legislature to adequately assess and deliberate changes.
I am incredibly perturbed by the fact that we were promised adequate time to deliberate on substantive bills coming from the CLC earlier in session & yet here we are again.
SB313 will likely be fast tracked through the Senate when we get back on June 12.

"It seems that fighting is a game where everybody is the loser" - Zora Neale Hurston
On Zora Neale Hurston's birthday, I am reminded of this powerful message about unity and peace. Her impact and legacy continue to inspire us today.
These data are on page 53 of Vanguard’s report. They refer to defined contribution retirement plans such as 401(k)s and 403(b)s. https://t.co/1Nr5mrpeZK
Retirees with the median balance and, let’s say, $1,500 a month in social security who live another 20 years would have to live on about $21,000 a year.
It’s absolutely shameful to be this wealthy of a country and leave anyone, especially the elderly, to destitution.
“Joe Biden said he would ‘restore the soul of this nation’. Well, where the heck is that, Biden? Where’s that moral leadership?”

By simply not acknowledging it was a swap, the senator can pretend Israel wasn’t holding Palestinian children as hostages and turn an aggressor into a victim.
Intentional and ghoulish messaging.
Over 3/4 of Democrats support a ceasefire in Gaza. We had over 1000 people march in Wilmington on Saturday. It’s time for our elected officials to get on board. https://t.co/RtqxOuAnw5
This is such a perfect distillation of who Chris Coons is. Condescending, dismissive, more worried about rules than justice, and unwilling to engage with people he sees as beneath him.
Sen. @ChrisCoons sat across from me on the train. With Israel using US weapons to kill thousands of Palestinian civilians, including 4600+ children, I asked him why he refuses to call for a ceasefire:
Update: I was removed from the train, apparently at Sen. Coons’ request. I’ll catch the next one. The people of Gaza have no escape from the mass murder campaign that the Senator is supporting.
Preventing bombs from being dropped on people in Gaza would not help them? Be serious.
Every single senator proving there’s nothing but cowards among them.
I asked Illinois Sen. @TammyDuckworth at a news conference today in Pilsen if she’s willing to call for a ceasefire.
“I am not willing to call for a ceasefire at this point because that would not help the residents of Gaza nor would it help the security of Israel,” she said.
@Fieldkorn @VanHoAdam All of those things are much cheaper than housing. I sure hope that if you’re ever in a difficult position, people show you a lot more humanity and solidarity than you seem to possess yourself.
@5h09un @NathanJRobinson I know it’s hard for people like you to get your heads around this, but it’s not about the money it’s about trying to be an actual country rather than just a funder of endless war and subjugation.
Fuck out of here with wanting to do both.
