This is what my work-life balance looks like today. It balances over the long term. Some days I’m a stellar mom, some days I’m a stellar scientist. Not usually in the same day. This week I successfully started a new experiment and failed on baking my kid’s birthday cake!
I’m shortlisted for an Early Career Prize! Thanks to my co-authors for helping with this fun rhizosphere project @aimeeclassen@BenjaminSulman @mayes_mamayes5

My new #SciArt out today illustrates new research by @c_terrer@BruceHungate@EcossNau et al in @nature ; under elevated CO2, ecosystems that respond strongly sequester additional C either in aboveground biomass, or belowground soil C
A good resource for students underrepresented in #STEM and their mentors. Discussing today in our @ORNLBio_Env DEI journal club. https://t.co/IRUIWQV33G
I made the Haldane Early Career Scientist Best Paper shortlist for our paper on rhizosphere interactions! The winner will be announced in the coming weeks. Congrats to all those shortlisted!! https://t.co/2RnSGrJ7zp
#365FemaleEcologists 262/365 @JessicaAMMoore works on fungal responses to climate change, soil microbial ecology and how it can be included in ecosystem models. https://t.co/hfFKBqPGCk
Our paper is hot off the presses! Fungal communities and functional genes shift with N deposition @seritafrey@geyerkev@GJPec @MAnthony02 https://t.co/xdPGVIS6s1
