Comms and change management consultant (plus aspiring author). I’m meant to tweet about strategic comms, but get distracted by books, gardening and feminism.
In an effort to walk in the shoes of the characters of my 18th century novel WIP, I've gotten stuck in the sticky web of the V&A fashion and textiles collection online ‘advanced search function’ #amwritingromance#HistoricalFiction@V_and_A 1/5
@Ingrid_Mida@vintieguidebook@metmuseum That is so beautiful, it must have been the inspiration for Lady Sybil’s trouser suit in #DowntonAbbey ? I’ll have it in a size 14 (alright 16) please. Seriously, we don’t see enough turquoise clothing about.
@GWandShows How are they so well behaved in the garden? I keep getting my pup to watch GW with me, but he hasn’t learned anything yet 😫 #dogjobsfortheweekend
@RebeccaPapin@V_and_A Sounds amazing, I love speculative fiction and can't wait to see it hit bookshelves. The tension and highly charged atmosphere in Versailles at that time will make for a very dramatic read.

@RebeccaPapin@V_and_A Sounds gorgeous. My other guilty pleasure is to waste hours on @rightmove looking for tumble down farmhouses in the French countryside that are in need of a little (a lot) of TLC.
@JessicaBull50@V_and_A I’m missing France greatly as well. We’ve chosen not to go to our summer home there for a second year in a row, so it is yet another year my French/American kiddos don’t get to spend time with my husband’s family.
@RebeccaPapin@V_and_A I saw you studied in Paris and was very envious! We're in London and usually take a 3-4 week road trip, through the magical Loire to the Atlantic Coast. We didn't go last year, and I can't see it happening this summer either. I'm making crêpes and drinking Calvados in consolation
@RebeccaPapin@V_and_A Thanks, me too 😊 I'm missing France and museums so much, I'm trying to get there there in my imagination from the comfort of my sofa!
@RebeccaPapin TVM😊'The Emergency Baroness' is my love letter to the 18th century & its great women writers. I'm aiming to create a heroine as whip-smart as #JaneAustin, give her agency and adventure, let her fall in love, survive adversity and solve a mystery which has torn her family apart.
If you write Romance (YA or Adult) check out #KissPitch on Twitter this Thursday, May 6th. The pitching window opens at 9 a.m. EDT and closes at 9 p.m. EDT
