@BessKoffman@Momademia@mothersinsci Recently figured out toddler loves having snack and drink for car ride to daycare. I let her pick the snack and then give it to her once she is buckled in car seat. This has made transitioning to car easier which was a struggle before.
In this week’s New England Journal of Medicine (@NEJM), I lay out the steps we must take to address the national crisis of health worker burnout. It’s long past time for our nation to care for those who sacrifice so much to care for us all. https://t.co/KRfAuAGC35
Great watching @UAZNursing assistant professor Dr. Loya presenting his tailored PA intervention for Hispanic/LatinX and with T2DM @WINursing in a session moderated by assistant professor Dr. Sowicz
@aljosephson Haha! I’m still very confused by why the number of clothes R goes through per day on a trip is so much higher than in normal life. Also, pack excessive amounts of snacks.
@MariGliesch @Momademia@SarcasmProf My university does match $2,000 a year for daycare at any accredited daycare in the state though. This has worked better for us since I usually work from home rather than going in and our daycare is 3 minutes from our house.
@Doc_Het@Momademia Congrats! I’ve heard all of these and others during pregnancy, leave and then when I got back. It was also frustrating for me to see how the comments I got were so different than what my husband experienced about the impact of our daughter on his life and work.
Highly recommend reading this feature on staffing agencies trafficking #nurses to staff US hospitals. Another example of how broken the US #healthcare system is and how it has ripples abroad. In awe of these nurses for fighting back.
#nursetwitter This is just as important as fighting against capping one’s pay (add it to the reasons to not cap pay). It is also a bigger problem than just one med center and has been going on longer than we realize. Human. Trafficking. Of. Nurses. https://t.co/UQ31UNRSYD
