I think that gender and racial/ethnic portrayals in Disney films are evolving such as the film frozen for example, but there are still underlying stereotypical messages in these films and we still have a way to go before this is completely eliminated #lesson11

I don't believe that we should just boycott Disney because as a child I loved Disney and I still do but I still believe that the newer movies should include more diversity and less stereotypes so it creates inclusion for all children #lesson11

@joshblack06 @Mariah53458851 I don't think that it is nitpicking since the lack of diversity we are discussing in this situation is nearly half the population, I believe that every child should feel like that they are being represented equally and not subjected to racial or gender based stereotypes

@BiancaLaplante No i don't think Disney represents enough ethnicities in their movies and if they do represent anyone who isn't white they are portrayed as either the villain or the characters feed into their ethnic stereotype

after viewing this documentary I didn't realize how many racist underlying messages and portrayals there are in Disney as a kid i never noticed it, it makes you think what our kids are exposed to #lesson11
