@mrsmcinburtott I’ve seen it mentioned already but I would definitely say Soul, also shawshank redemption particularly thinking about OTs in prison/forensics
@AmeeraSellarsOT Try to think you’re also interviewing them, are they the right team/service for you? Do they offer opportunities you’re looking for? It changes the power dynamic & might make you feel less powerless. Ultimately be yourself, you’ve already met the criteria by getting an interview
@AliceeeeBr Used to work in a catB prison, my advice - get as much fresh air and sunshine as possible. Sometimes would arrive in the dark and leave in the dark and not see an inch of daylight
A blog from one of our fantastic Occupational Therapists' @Mersey_Care reflecting on her experiences working in a prison based OPD service as a newly qualified OT #chooseOT#OTweek2020
@ZoeTheBall I had a giant white teddy bear that my mum made me give to the teddy stall at my school fete - she claimed it was a ‘dust collector’...I secretly bought it back 🤣 @BBCRadio2
@safetynurse999@ClareTaylorBU Really helpful question and tips, I’m about to start a new job after 12 months off for mat leave. Ta for thoughts everyone
@AppleSupport@Apple I needed a new iPhone & I’m really unimpressed with your approach to inclusivity. I am deaf & carefully selected headphones that work for me, I can’t use them without purchasing an adapter #discrimination

@VivekKhashu @DarrenM31463313 This scares me, my son is mixed race & has a Kenyan name to reflect his heritage but he’s born and raised UK - I’d hate to think anyone would make such assumptions based on his name! 🙈 completely respect your integrity how you responded to him!
We do not support people to ‘keep busy’ whilst locked down @OTnews
We are facilitating occupational participation to alleviate the harms of occupational deprivation; provide opportunities for mastery; reduce loneliness and much more.
#OccupationalTherapy job at HMP Send PIPE personality disorder service. For those interested in the very rewarding area of prison OT work @CNWL https://t.co/2AIuLrYusq
@debbieduckie @BillWongOT@GCUOTS@JemmaOT Presumably with more incentive (given more tech savvy cohorts & different working following COVID-19) things will be developed more? #otalk
@debbieduckie @OTalk_@brain_in_hand@ETHELsmarthub Ahh I’m reasonably new to community MH having almost exclusively worked in inpatient MH/prison. I wondering how it could be adapted to support risk management? #otalk
