The students brushed up on their inferencing and summarizing skills this week in a “crime scene” investigation. Students had to observe a “crime scene” of missing cookies, make inferences about their observations, and then write a summary about their findings! @LaurelOakElem
We had some more kiddos finish some of the Sunshine State books over the last couple of days. I’m really proud of all of them for pushing themselves towards the goal of reading all 15! @LaurelOakElem@FloridaSSYRA
Last week, students worked on summarizing informational text. They made “trioramas” with a summary of the text that we read in class and picture that depicts a detail from the text. @LaurelOakElem
I’m loving all the reading that is happening in my classroom! These LOE students finished some of the Sunshine State books! @LaurelOakElem@FloridaSSYRA
So proud of these @LaurelOakElem kiddos for having the courage to stand up in front of their classmates to give their student council speeches! They all did wonderful!
