Over the last eight years, we’ve achieved historic wins for hardworking Georgians from all walks of life and made our state the best place to live, work, and raise a family.
We’ve passed the largest tax cut in state history, announced the largest economic development projects ever, raised teacher pay by nearly ten thousand dollars, led the entire nation in recovering from a pandemic, cracked down on criminal street gangs, invested historic amounts in school safety and classroom excellence, and made Georgia a national leader in job creation from businesses large and small.
That’s a conservative record of success that Marty, the girls, and I are proud of—and it’s one that would not have been possible without our partners in the General Assembly.
Whether it was during his service in the state senate or as Lt. Governor, @burtjonesforga has been a strong, trusted ally in those victories for the people of our state. He worked hard alongside me and my administration to return over $9 billion back to taxpayers, raise pay and retirement benefits for state law enforcement, and he never wavered when we took on the special interests to pass meaningful tort reform for the first time in twenty years.
Burt knows how to get things done as governor because that’s what he has done as a state senator and as your Lt. Governor.
The hardest part about being governor is making decisions that aren’t always popular or easy. I’ve worked alongside Burt for nearly fifteen years and I’m confident that he will always put hardworking Georgians first.
This fall, Georgians will have a clear choice to make in their next governor. I believe Burt Jones will make a strong case to the voters for four more years of conservative leadership that ensures our state’s best days are ahead, while Democrats try to run from Keisha Lance Bottoms’ record of complete failure as mayor of Atlanta.
Marty, the girls, and I are proud to endorse Burt Jones to be the 84th Governor of the great state of Georgia and ask you to join us in supporting him on Tuesday.
Georgia is still the BEST state to live, work, and raise a family because we said NO to Stacey Abrams. As governor, I will continue fighting for hardworking Georgians!
Governor Kemp dedicated over $1 billion to DHS to provide cash assistance for Georgians who were enrolled and actively receiving Medicaid, SNAP, and/or TANF benefits on July 31, 2022. Eligible Georgians with an email in Gateway have started to receive info from DHS.
@GovKemp & the GA Legislature have worked tirelessly to make higher education more affordable and accessible to all Georgians. Proud to call Georgia home. #Georgia#georgiapolitics
As students returned to campuses across the state this year, they were greeted with a ⬇️ in cost. That’s because we worked with the legislature to eliminate the “Special Institution Fee” and expand HOPE Scholarship programs, making quality education more affordable for all.
The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.
The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.
A big congratulations this year’s #GA03 Congressional Art Competition winner, Leah Ross, a senior at Trinity Christian School in Sharpsburg!
I look forward to seeing her remarkable piece, titled “Shattered Emotions,” in the U.S. Capitol for the next year!

“Lord have mercy, there’s a lot of spaghetti being thrown against the wall” & “Lord have mercy he’s lying again,” not only sum up the debate but also how many lies were said against @GovKemp (in my opinion). @BrianKempGA has served GA well & deserves 4 more years. #gapol#georgia
A little over a month ago, I signed a temporary suspension of the state gas tax into law. Today, Georgia has the lowest avg. gas price per gallon in the entire country, and we're 40 cents under the national avg.
We'll keep doing our part to help Georgians with Bidenflation.
Thank you to @aiatlanta for sponsoring scholarships for the #GA03#congressionalartcompetition. If you live in #georgia’s 3rd district and are a high school student interested in the #arts be sure to enter!

Thank you, @RepDrewFerguson, for spearheading this common sense effort to further opportunity for hardworking Americans while increasing public health safety and national security.
Georgia implemented the same policy when the pandemic began, and Washington should, too!
Last week, U.S. Congressman Drew Ferguson (R-Ga.) congratulated Grant Ward, a senior at Northgate High School, on his appointment to the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Thrilled to share in-person that Grant Ward has received an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy Class of 2026!
A tremendous amount of hard work and a sustained record of excellence throughout his high school career led to this moment.
All of #GA03 is proud of you, Grant!
Last week, I was thrilled to present 2022 Coweta County Citizen of the Year, Norma Haynes, with a flag flown over the Capitol Building in her honor.
