Why is this even happening?
Women's public single sex facilities are disappearing.
Those public provision for women exclusively when we are most vulnerable to male predation are being phased out by councils and organisations, and they're selling it as though it's a progressive move.
It's being done to placate men who want access to women's public single sex provisions.
The risks are so obvious, and it's women who wear them all.
The public amenity and safety of women and girls is being sacrificed for porn sick men who view us as nothing more than public wank aids.
The complete reversal of priority - our ability to engage fully in public life safely and with dignity v. the ability of any man to gain easy access to us when we are most vulnerable - is shocking.
Women and girls are becoming less and less safe and valued by society at an alarming rate, and we witnessing the veneration off our harrassers and abusers by the State, community organisations and powerful corporations is sickening.
Women matter.
All the time.
Everywhere.
Labour had a chance to admit they got it wrong. Instead, Keir Starmer told Bridget Phillipson to gaslight the Commons with a shameless rewrite of history — pretending Labour had always been on the side of women. Nobody bought it.
They claimed the govt accepts the Supreme Court ruling — yet Labour, SNP, and Lib Dem MPs queued up to attack it. One even called for puberty blockers to be brought back for children.
They refused to criticise their unions who vow to ignore the law.
Refused to apologise to Rosie Duffield.
Refused to recognise the bravery of JK Rowling or Sharron Davies.
I’ve always known what a woman is. I didn't need a Supreme Court ruling to say so. And under my leadership, the Conservative Party will hold this government to account 👇
Dear people who identify as “transgender”. Those who welcome the Supreme Court ruling do not hate you or deny your existence.
We do not want to erase you or remove you from public life. You have the same rights as everyone else. You are rightly protected from discrimination - under the protected characteristic of “gender reassignment” - in the areas covered by the Equality Act. You should never be harassed: if I saw one of you being harassed in the street I would speak up in your defence.
Your rights are the same now as they were last week, last year - in fact, when the Equality Act was enacted in 2010.
All that has happened is that the disinformation spread about the law - by those such as Stonewall who essentially pretended we had self-ID - has been corrected. This clarification should never been necessary.
We all have to inhabit this society together. We need to respect each other’s boundaries. Not everything is “inclusive”.
Homosexuality is not “inclusive”.
Women do not include men.
Placards threatening violence to women are completely unacceptable and are harming your cause.
If you want to argue for a change in the law, there are proper procedures to try to do so. But the UK does not have and does not want gender self-ID.
Single-sex facilities are mandatory in workplaces and schools. The judgment has put it beyond doubt that the Equality Act, with other legislation, requires these to be provided according to biological sex.
After a long weekend of women being threatened in the worst of ways whilst thousands of people across the country march calling for an end to our legal recognition & most basic rights, with ministers plotting to support them, listening to this is quite emotional.
'Trans people have not lost a single right in this country. What they don’t have — and never had, despite the claims of activists — is a right to be treated as biological women. The hysterical response to the judgment is a cry of pure fury, an echo of every time an entitled man has heard the word “no”.'
