I'm going to say it again: the assistant to staff pipeline being broken is bad for *all* of us. I came up as an assistant and I firmly believe it is far and away the BEST way to learn how a TV show works and how the writers room functions is through assistant work. (1/)

these positions are VITAL to the success of any show. BUT it can be intimidating to go up against a studio with virtually no leverage. higher level writers, sometimes your advocacy is the ONLY way to get fair pay so check in with your SS while they negotiate!
