Aya Cash was initially highly hesitant to take the role when she found out the character was a literal Nazi. As a Jewish woman, she was deeply uncomfortable with the hateful ideology. She only agreed to do it after sitting down with Kripke, who explained that the character was a cautionary satire meant to show how modern white supremacy wraps itself in trendy, social-media-savvy branding rather than old-school boots and shaved heads.
