@ClareGerada Primary care (GP) cannot be strengthened with the current open door contract. We need to be brave and address our failing monopolistic position for the benefit of future GP teams
When I was a kid my GP still did home visits and heโd do the laundry while he was in and change the oil in dads car and if you were nervous starting school heโd come with you on the first day and if you fancied a bird heโd put in a good word and heโd keep us safe from Vikings and
@ClareGerada Itโs the contract - GP contract is open ended to all intents, this gives us great strength but also the frustration of having to do everything. I share Clareโs frustration when I have so many better things to do but we need to own it in GP Ans set up systems to manage. Possible.
Canโt believe dawn butler MP got ejected from HoC today for saying Boris has repeatedly lied to the house. Come on deputy speaker FFS are you visiting from Mars for the day
@ClareGerada Clare - secretarial skills core competency of GPs. Cut n paste onto a referral template with fwd results to colleagues in 2y care. The speed and slickness you can do this while ploughing through 100 letters is most satisfying. Agree with colleague patient gets stuck in middle.
