Quick PSA for the bigots!!
It is illegal in Canada for minors to get cosmetic surgery without parental consent, so stop inciting hate over something THAT LITERALLY ISN'T HAPPENING!
Predators don't want kids to learn about consent and that no means no!!
‘School lunch debt’ is a term so absurd that it shouldn’t even exist.
That’s why I’m proud to introduce a bill to CANCEL the nation’s student meal debt and stop humiliating kids and penalizing hunger.

@jennyleeshee A couple students came into my class for hugs while I was on my prep. One kiddo noticed my sticky notes and asked for one. She sneakily wrote "Hug me" on it and stuck it on my back. I noticed the note before i went anywhere, but still so cute! I love my job :)
Today was a big win for Ontarians.
While we still have so many questions about how this process became so corrupted, today we can celebrate.
Thank you to all the folks from around the province who refused to back down.

@Jasonsrenen@wrdsb PD days are published on the board calendar months before. Teachers are working full days on PD days. Sure, there are no students, but they are still at work, not just chilling at home.
This is devastating and cruel.
DACA has been a beacon of hope for so many young Dreamers, allowing them to live and work in the only country many have ever known. We must continue to fight for these individuals and their right to remain here. Permanently. https://t.co/Q07F3T3KWP
@rip1077@gordperks That's how homiphobes, racists and misogynists are created...at home. Schools are just trying to undo damage and help students accept and include all kinds of kids. Those who oppose, just might be one of the types I just mentioned.
"It's not up to the school boards to indoctrinate our kids," says Ford. That was never the objective, nor is it transpiring. Reassuring students that all are welcome in class is a message that could only spin into indoctrination if your objectives are rooted in homophobia. #Onted
@AnnBell1617865@BruceAHeyman Firing every Liberal/NDP means all Canadians won't be represent3d in their government. I guess I will accept a fairly elected Con govt, but there will still be Lib and NDP representation.
@GV02000281 @StoneSculptorJN@pollingcanada@fordnation@Sflecce It is a few lessons in a whole school year, hardly pushed "non-stop". No one is confused or suffering from social and mental anxiety. Parents don't need to be afraid, they just need to talk to their kids and keep an open line of communication with teachers.
Wait. Did Ana Poilievre say her parents had to live paycheque to paycheque and they had to go to food banks? Doesn't her husband tell us that only started with PM Trudeau? Doesn't he say, "it was never like this before."?
This is very dangerous rhetoric that puts the Prime Minister's life in danger, and that of all elected officials.
This speech is full of violence.
Disgusting.
It's facisim.

@StoneSculptorJN@pollingcanada@fordnation@Sflecce They don't want to. It is just a necessary area of Health that should be delivered from an objective perspective. Parents should also be talking to kids about it. A letter goes home to give the option parents to pull their kids during those lessons, so really not an issue
Friends, #onpoli parents, I’m a father of 3, it’s time for some real talk about @fordnation & @Sflecce education policy
I haven’t been able to influence my kids on their choices in music, fashion or food
I can barely get them to eat or go to bed, how could we imagine that a teacher might influence them in any way on their core identity
I know you have concerns and anxieties, but trust your kids, talk to your kids, listen to them. If you do that, I assure you, no teacher will ever need to tell you who they are, you will know.
@riversidepucks@ONT_Dad It was a priority. Also maintaining spec Ed funding, protecting kindergarten, avoiding mandatory online classes. Govt doesn't want to budge on class sizes bc doing so will require more teachers. It is all about the money, not at all about the kids.
@Sab2Kelly@ONT_Dad This isn't happening. Like we would say, "don't tell your parent we read this book where the main character has two moms bc they might not like it." Kid raises hand, "Why? I have two moms."
