A Soviet report investigating Nazi war crimes during the Holocaust states that #OTD 25 August 1942, 503 Jews from Mezhirov were shot at the Jewish cemetery.
The report ends with: "It has not been possible to ascertain the names of these Jews."

The Nidhe Israel Synagogue is the oldest synagogue in the Western hemisphere - and it's in Barbados. Since the 1980's, the Jewish community has been working to preserve it true to its original design; it finally reopened in 2017.
