By 55 years old, this Jewish executive helped build one of the most powerful investment firms in the world, while quietly becoming one of the most influential Jewish philanthropists in America.
This is the story of Jon Gray.
As President and COO of Blackstone, Jon helped transform the firm from a major private equity company into a global financial empire managing over a trillion dollars in assets.
Under his leadership, Blackstone became dominant across:
• Real estate
• Private equity
• Credit
• Infrastructure
• Alternative investments
But beyond Wall Street, Jon Gray has become something else entirely:
One of the proudest Jewish leaders in American business.
After October 7th, he and his wife Mindy donated $125 million to support Jewish life, Israel education, combating antisemitism, and strengthening Jewish identity.
Not for headlines.
For the future of the Jewish people.
He’s spoken openly about the importance of Jewish continuity, Jewish pride, and making sure the next generation stays deeply connected to their heritage.
At a time when many executives stay silent, Jon Gray leaned in.
His impact reaches far beyond finance:
• Supporting Jewish schools and education
• Funding medical research and hospitals
• Strengthening pro-Israel initiatives
• Inspiring young Jewish professionals to embrace their identity proudly
His formula is simple,but rare:
• Build at the highest level
• Stay grounded in values
• Use success to strengthen your people
A legendary operator.
A proud Jew.
One of the most influential executives of this generation.
HISTORY: Israeli beach volleyball duo Eylon Elazar and Kevin Cuzmiciov have won gold at the Xiamen Challenge in China.
They have become the first Israelis ever to claim a Challenge title on the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour.
Mazel Tov! 🇮🇱🏐
Two Jewish baseball legends are enshrined in the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. Hank Greenberg and Sandy Koufax. Both endured relentless antisemitic taunts from fans and opponents, yet rose to greatness, becoming a source of national Jewish pride.
Beckham attributed his success to the great support he received from his grandfather, Joseph West, and from his Jewish family.
Support that, even years after his grandfather's death, has not only not been forgotten in his heart but also accompanies him to this day, thanks to which he defines himself as 'half-Jewish.'
In the photo: Beckham at his grandfather's funeral.
Shabbat Shalom, Jewish hockey fans!
Light candles before sundown tonight and bring in a day of peace. Spend time with your families, communities, and with G-d.

Good Shabbos!
Loved the Sports Philanthropy Network field trip yesterday to the Intentional Sports facility in the Austin neighborhood in Chicago. Amazing facility with outdoor mini-pitches for soccer, indoor facilities for basketball, soccer and more. Serving thousands of kids every week. This $40 million facility has helped transform the area and dramatically reduce the gun violence.
Thank you to Austin Carr and the whole staff for agreeing to host the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business students that are interested in a career in sports. They had a tremendous opportunity to spend 2.5 days visiting different types of sports organizations to get a feel for the significant number of jobs in the industry.
Was pleased to see terrific engagement from the students and especially the great questions they had about creating impact and sports philanthropy!
And of course love the Badger swag. Can never have too much of that!

Last year, David Tepper contributed more than $529M to his three giving vehicles, with causes including anti-semitism, food insecurity, and disaster relief among others.
“Great locker room guy, he’s a great guy behind the plate, he’s just a competitor… he’s a one-of-a-kind athlete.”
Being the first Orthodox Jew to play Division I @NCAABaseball has come with challenges for Elie Kligman, but his teammates and coaches have embraced and supported him every step of the way 💙

The world’s biggest tech companies are betting big on Israel.
10 of the world’s 11 most valuable companies now operate major R&D centers in Israel. NVIDIA Corporation alone plans to employ around 10,000 people locally and build a massive new campus, while Apple Inc., Google, Microsoft and others continue expanding their presence.
Startup Nation is becoming Scale-Up Nation. 🇮🇱
Believing that basketball can provide children with “an outlet to heal in a tough time” of war, American Israeli professional ballplayer Jared Armstrong is repairing courts throughout Israel that have been damaged over the last 2 1/2 years of war.

Israel is building tiny robots inside your body.
Researchers at the Technion have developed DNA origami nanorobots, programmable microscopic machines (just 100 nanometers wide) made entirely from DNA.
These tiny “robots” navigate through the bloodstream, detect specific cancer cell markers, and then deploy a targeted toxin directly into tumors, while completely sparing healthy cells.
In recent trials on aggressive cancers, they’ve shown incredible precision and effectiveness.
This isn’t science fiction anymore. It’s Israeli innovation turning the body into its own battlefield against disease.
From the lab bench to potentially saving millions of lives worldwide.
Proud every single day. 🇮🇱
