One day, you’ll also want to apologize to the Ugandans you’ve abducted and tortured in your so-called basement; to the mothers whose husbands and sons you murdered and denied even a decent burial; and to the women whose dignity you demeaned and whose bodies you objectified.
You’ll wish you could take back the reckless and hateful things you’ve said on X-the insults, threats, evil confessions and obscenities. But history offers no delete button.
Your apology today should remind you that the day will come when you are asking Ugandans for forgiveness but by then, history will already have passed its judgment.
Dr. Sarah Birete's home was raided thinking she was hiding Hon. Miria Matembe after failing to find her in her home in Luzira .
They stole money from her bag and dug a hole in her son's room . 😒

I learnt these lessons from the late nasur, mariamungu, chris lwakasis history has repeated its self now, the death of late jonan luwum caused the fall of amins regime, unlaw full arrests will cause the fall of nrm regime mark my word God is doing some thing special for ugandans. We must pass through such to over come this impunity. Who remembers the actions of amin and obotes state research? @KagutaMuseveni ?
One day you will also pay in the same currency. You rip what you have sown. If Winnie has to pay for her past mistakes, don't mind one day you will pay for the torture you are inflicting on us. Geography tells us that the world is round. What you do always comes back to haunt you
Sometimes the eyes say what words cannot.
You look at @HEBobiwine today and you see the weight of a nation on one man’s shoulders. The struggle, the betrayals, the pain of seeing your people beaten, imprisoned, and silenced yet still standing.
You see a man who could have chosen comfort, but instead chose the difficult road of fighting for freedom.
The lines on his face, the growing beard, the tired eyes — they are not just signs of time… they are marks of sacrifice.
But history has always shown that those who carry the pain of their people also carry the hope of their future.
And one day, that hope will prevail.
We shall be free ✊🏿
Just time!
Fellow Ugandans and friends of Uganda!
Two months ago, Museveni yet again usurped the will of the people of Uganda and declared himself president on gunpoint. A day later, gripped by shame and fear, the military invaded my home to harm me, but I was able to evade them and go into hiding.
Over the past two months, the regime has looked for me everywhere. They have raided the homes of many colleagues and fellow leaders, mounted roadblocks and spot checks of vehicles and motorcycles, arrested and dismissed the police officers assigned to my campaign, raided our home in the village, and kept my home under siege. Well, they couldn't find me because the people of Uganda sheltered me and protected me.
Today, I am announcing my brief exit from the country to handle important work. Over the next few weeks, I will engage with our friends and allies all over the world before returning to Uganda to continue the push for freedom and democracy! For now, let's remain focused and united.

UGANDA |🇺🇬🇪🇺The European Parliament has called Uganda’s election what it was: a military operation to crush the only credible opposition. Security forces were used not to protect voters, but to intimidate, kill, detain, torture, and silence political opponents.
Statements are no longer enough. The EU, its Member States, and allied democracies must move to consequences — identifying and acting against those responsible, from commanders to political enablers.
Targeted sanctions, visa bans, asset freezes, suspension of security cooperation, and a review of aid that sustains repression must follow.
By this point, the U.S, the UK, and the EU must understand that repeated failure to act is steering the region toward deeper instability, normalized violence, and the erosion of democratic and regional security norms — with consequences far beyond Uganda.
