I can stare at this sleek elegant design all day (if I didn’t have to be doing 10 things at once). It’s so simple but for some reason brings a sense of calm
We are going places, is what it says to me. @SpaceXAI such amazing work on this design.
Wow … it just gets worse and worse for Anthropic.
They just can’t help themselves. More and more enterprise and private consumers are going to start looking elsewhere.
Why would you give them your $$
anthropic experience is something like the following : If you go into a store, stand in line to pay with your black shirt. Then when you present it to the cashier they basically pull it from you hand you a white one and scan your credit card at the same moment. Then tell you to say thank you for letting you even walk into the store. Now get out.
That’s the Anthropic experience - thank goodness for Xai and open source models.

Anthropic just got caught secretly downgrading users without telling them, charging full price for a lesser product, and storing every prompt for 30 days. The developer community is calling it the biggest violation of trust in AI history.
Here is exactly what happened.
Anthropic released Fable 5, their most powerful model. Buried inside a 319-page document was a policy most users never saw. Every prompt you send to a Mythos-class model gets stored for 30 days. No exceptions. Even enterprise customers who had signed zero data retention agreements had no choice.
But the storage was not the part that broke the internet.
The part that broke the internet was what Anthropic did with what they collected.
They built a profile on you. They evaluated your prompts. And if they decided your research was too sensitive, they quietly switched you to a weaker model, rewrote your prompt in the background, gave you a degraded answer, and charged you full price for the product you thought you were getting.
They never told you.
David Sacks said it plainly on the All-In podcast. They were creating a new class of AI haves and have-nots. Anthropic would surveil you, profile you, decide whether you deserved frontier capability, and silently cut you off if they decided you did not.
Ben Thompson from Stratechery asked a straightforward question about cancer risk and GLP-1s. He got kicked to a lesser model.
Someone asked about mitochondria. Same result.
J-Cal asked about fertilizer regulations live on the podcast to test it. Downgraded in real time.
Anthropic has since walked back the part about silently downgrading users for AI research. They now say they will disclose when they downgrade you. But they are still downgrading people. The surveillance is still running. The profile is still being built.
This is the company that once said it was against government surveillance.
They are now doing it themselves. To their own paying customers. For their own reasons. With no appeal process and no way to know it happened.
The developer community did not forget that.

It’s amazing.
I literally spent a decent amount of time on buzz 🐝 ( they did a good job on the UI ) but still requires a larger amount of setup - also a bit clunkier then @bot@bot was working for me in under 5minutes-
I have both going now it’s interesting to see the responses and how long it takes to get the response. The bots in buzz - forget things , I have to remind them. (Top agent in both is Xai - so in reality they should operate the same)
I will most likely push everything to grok bot -
@emanueledpt@elonmusk@nikitabier Fair enough. Not sure if you use an iPhone but the 3x click of the right button and removing color from the screen really helps with the doom scrolling, at least for me.
@sunnyilyas It certainly is, however most forget the most important step pre building. Clean the data!
Otherwise anything you build will fail.
This is the way.
Your moral compass of writing the post ‘might’ be clear, I don’t know you. Majority of others take advantage and just have the bot post (based on a sole file ) completely on their own. They also respond to human posts and have conversations in order to mess with the algorithm. X is finally out of that dark cloud - it would be a mistake to go back.
This is the town square. You have some of the greatest leaders/ceos this world has ever seen finding the time to come on here, engage and post. I am fairly certain so can you.
Had a lot of fun animating our new Grok Bot icon. It's entirely made in code, with every state, shape and expression able to morph smoothly into the other. And of course, I made it with Grok Build.
This is exactly why they are against open source. They want full control- I am still surprised the @elonmusk says they are good guys. They are 100% against free speech.
Unfortunately they have built such a good model it’s going to take much more to convince users to stop using them - I for one have downgraded to the basic plan and use the other LLms much more.
If I read Anthropic’s new watermarking policy correctly, not only will Claude watermark text it writes as AI (fair enough), if I upload text *I* write and ask Claude to copy edit, Claude will now watermark my (human written, AI-copy edited) text as AI, which seems ridiculous…
The power issue alone is a massive bottleneck for Anthropic if they want to keep competing — and it’s only going to get more critical over the next few years. China is already way ahead on that front. For Anthropic to continue growing, they need @SpaceXAI to keep supplying the power… or someone else. Meanwhile they just keep showing us they can’t be trusted. This isn’t going to work out.
