@A_single_bear "The Moon. Unattainable, always changing shape, disappearing and reappearing. We look at it, imagine, wonder, and pine―never familiar, continuous provoker of dreams. Do not offer the obvious. Promise the moon"

@A_single_bear Most misunderstandings in the world could be avoided if people would simply take the time to ask, "What else could this mean?”

@jordanbpeterson Said the straight man to the late man
Where have you been?
I've been here and I've been there
And I've been in between
I talk to the wind
My words are all carried away
I talk to the wind
The wind does not hear
The wind cannot hear
I'm on the outside looking inside
What do I see?
@Hi_ImJamal @AlanWattsDaily Alan Watts - Why the Urge to Improve Yourself?
16:36 [Alan Watts] The reason you want to be better is the reason you aren’t.”
16:46 We aren’t better because we want to be, because the road to hell is paved with good intentions.”
I liked this quote, so I feared the day it would be used against us. When science starts acting like religion by punishing those who don’t believe in it. It stops becoming about finding the truth and more about saying it is final.
Have we reached the ultimate stage of absurdity where some people are held responsible for things that happened before they were born, while other people are not held responsible for what they themselves are doing today?
@AlanWattsDaily They reach the summit last because they know God isn’t at the top waiting for them. He is down below helping his followers to understand that the view is glorious where ever you stand.”

@AlanWattsDaily “I am convinced that the jealous, the angry, the bitter and the egotistical are the first to race to the top of mountains. A confident person enjoys the journey, the people they meet along the way and sees life not as a competition.
Unquestionably the sensitive human brain adds immeasurably to the richness of life. Yet for this we pay dearly, because the increase in over-all sensitivity makes us peculiarly vulnerable.
