🎥 Journalist Noa Avishag Schnall spoke to Drop Site News after being released from Israeli detention following the seizure of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition vessel Adalah in international waters, alongside more than 400 activists attempting to bring aid to Gaza.
Schnall described detainees being held inside damp razor wire-enclosed cargo containers, where participants were beaten, tasered, sexually humiliated, sexually assaulted, and in some cases reportedly injected with unknown substances. She said Israeli soldiers also fired so-called “less lethal” rounds at point blank range, causing severe injuries.
Schnall, who recorded the video from her home in France, said the abuse drew outrage because the victims were international activists. Palestinians, she said, endure far worse violence every day in Israeli prisons and under siege in Gaza.

This is called a stress position. This is not yoga. Try it on a cold floor, with your hands zip-tied, and see if you can hold it even for 5 minutes. Now imagine being held that way for hours, and even days. Stress positions are used in torture to cut off circulation and create extreme pain in the joints. Postures of humiliation are chosen where you cannot see what is happening, and have no chance to remain calm, clear, and alert. . Having your kidneys exposed to cold air creates vasoconstriction, high blood pressure, strains the renal system, lowers immunity and causes acute physiological stress.
I think of how many people in the world are being tortured right now as I write. I don't have to say this but I will. There are very few people who will put themselves aside to help others. There are only a few who would try (and even try again) to deliver food and medical supplies to Gaza. Both Canada and the US are ratified in the Geneva conventions against torture. In war time or in peace time, torture is not legal.
Stop supplying Israel. Stop supporting Israel. Apply sanctions. If we do not stop Israel's use of torture, one thing is clear. We are complicit. We know this. Write your elected officials, and for God's sake, speak up already.
According to The Guardian:
“The doctor who carried out the postmortems of the 15 paramedics and rescue workers who were killed by Israeli troops in Gaza in March has said they were mostly killed by gunshots to the head and torso, as well as injuries caused by explosives after Israeli troops had launched a deadly attack on a group of paramedics from the Palestinian Red Crescent, civil defence and United Nations workers, as they carried out a rescue operation in southern Gaza in March 2025.
Their bodies, along with the crushed vehicles, were buried in a sandy mass grave in Gaza by Israeli troops. After digging up the bodies days later, the UN claimed they had been executed “one by one”.
Ahmed Dhair, the forensic pathologist in Gaza who carried out autopsies on 14 out of the 15 victims, told the Guardian he had found “lacerations, entry wounds from bullets, and wounds resulting from explosive injuries. These were mostly concentrated in the torso area – the chest, abdomen, back, and head.”
Most had died from gunshot wounds, including what Dhair said was evidence of “explosive bullets”, otherwise known as “butterfly bullets”, which explode in the body upon impact, ripping apart flesh and bone.
“We found remains of explosive bullets,” said Dhair. “In one case, the bullet head had exploded in the chest, and the rest of the bullet fragments were found within the body. There were also remnants or shrapnel from bullets scattered on the back of one of the victims.”

The Mideast is once again teetering on the brink as Trump appears poised to reignite war with Iran.
While Trump's threats of war may be theatre designed to force Tehran into submission, Tehran expects the US to attack it within the next 48 hours.
We should recognize that restarting the war amounts to an admission that Trump’s previous escalatory gambit — the blockade of the blockade — has failed. That, in turn, was itself an admission that the war had failed. Which was an admission that the threats of war in January had failed. As I have argued before, this relentless search for an escalatory silver bullet capable of bringing Iran to its knees is not unique to Trump; it has become a defining pathology of American Iran policy for decades.
And as Washington has come to realize that the blockade is backfiring, a new and dangerous dynamic has emerged: both sides now believe another round of fighting will strengthen their hand in the negotiations that follow.
As I argued in January, Trump dramatically underestimated Iran’s strength, while hard-liners in Tehran believed war would strengthen Iran’s leverage by exposing the illusion of Iranian weakness. In their view, the outcome of the conflict vindicated that assessment, leaving them increasingly confident — even emboldened — about what a second round of war could yield.
Moreover, just as Tehran believes Trump intends to prosecute the next war with far greater ferocity, Iranian planners are preparing a far more expansive and punishing retaliatory campaign, complete with new strategic objectives and targets.
First, they see it as an opportunity to inflict maximum strategic damage on the UAE, citing Abu Dhabi’s active role in the previous conflict and its role in urging Trump to resume hostilities.
Tehran is likely to target American data centers in the UAE, a move that serves multiple purposes. Iran sees these firms as participants in the conflict. At the same time, Tehran sees an opportunity to cripple the UAE’s ambitions to become a global artificial intelligence hub — and, in doing so, potentially undermine Washington’s AI competition with China.

On Nakba Day 2026, Palestinian journalist @muhammadshehad2 releases a powerful short film on Israel’s creation through the words and deeds of its founding leaders.
The destruction of Palestine from 1947 onward, fully documented and long obscured, is now forcefully resurfacing.
In my 25 years of investigating the arms trade & conflict, there is no doubt that the Israeli army is the most depraved, amoral military on the planet.
I won’t forgive him for what he said about Greta, that’s a side
He's finally joining our ranks, the horrible anti-Semites who hate to see children starve to death.
"Iran doesn't have nukes. Israel does.
Iran is a signatory to the NPT. Israel isn't.
Iran has allowed IAEA inspectors into its country.
Israel doesn't."
But Israel's the victim?
My video for Zeteo on how the media's coverage of this crisis is abysmally biased.
Shocking new directive: Today, the Taliban's Minister of Vice and Virtue announced a ban on adult women's voices in each other's presence. In August, the Taliban banned women's voices in public, deeming it provocative. Women protested to this ban by singing and poetry.
