Meet Joley #PM8718, a 15-pound Poodle mix with the gentlest soul. Joley was rescued from a commercial breeding facility in April 2026, where dogs like her can spend their lives producing litter after litter, often with little opportunity to experience the comfort, companionship, enrichment, and individual love that every dog deserves. 💔

When Joley arrived at North Shore Animal League America, she was in poor condition, and her challenges didn’t end there. She is currently battling lymphoma and heartworm disease, and while in our care, a severe eye infection meant she needed to have her left eye surgically removed.

Despite everything she has endured, Joley is still here. Still trying. Still learning that people can be kind. And she takes her medications like an absolute champ. ❤️

Joley is looking for a fospice home - a calm, loving environment where she can spend the rest of her days surrounded by comfort, patience, and dignity. She will need consistent medical care, medications every 8 hours, and veterinary rechecks every 2–3 weeks so our Vet team can continue monitoring her conditions.

🐾 Joley is fearful but has a wonderfully gentle nature.
🐾 Children in the home must be 12 years or older.
🐾 Everyone in the household, including resident dogs, must come for a Meet & Greet.
🐾 Her fospice family must be able to provide her ongoing medical care and medications.

Joley has spent so much of her life being asked to give. Now, we’re asking someone to give to her. To give her a soft place to land. A quiet bed. A loving hand. A safe home where she can simply be a dog.

She may not have forever, but she deserves whatever time she has left to be filled with love. Please give Joley a chance. ❤️

Jeremy Glick was 31 when hijackers seized Flight 93 and threatened to blow it up. He called his wife, told her he loved her, learned the plane was part of a larger attack, and then helped organize the passengers to storm the cockpit.

Glick had no weapon.

He was not a soldier.

He was a sales manager, a husband and the father of a three-month-old daughter.

He was also a former national collegiate judo champion and black belt.

On September 11, 2001, Glick was flying from Newark to San Francisco for business.

Then the hijacking began.

The passengers were forced toward the back of the Boeing 757.

A hijacker claimed there was a bomb.

Another had a knife.

Glick called his mother-in-law's home and asked for his wife, Lyzbeth.

When she came on the line, he told her what was happening.

Then he told her something even worse.

He had learned about the attacks on the World Trade Center.

The plane wasn't simply being hijacked.

The passengers realized the aircraft could be turned into a weapon.

Glick told Lyzbeth that he and several other men were considering rushing the hijackers.

He asked what she thought.

She told him to do what he had to do.

Then the passengers began voting.

Fight back.

Or wait.

The decision was made.

They were going to take the cockpit.

Glick remained on the phone with his wife as the plan developed.

He told her he loved her.

Then the passengers moved.

Glick, Todd Beamer, Tom Burnett, Mark Bingham and others rushed toward the hijackers.

The cockpit voice recorder captured the struggle.

The plane began pitching violently.

At 10:03 a.m., Flight 93 crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Everyone aboard died.

But the plane never reached its intended target.

The 9/11 Commission concluded that the passengers' actions prevented the hijackers from completing their mission.

Glick's wife was left with their three-month-old daughter, Emmy.

He had called her knowing he might not come home.

He had told her he loved her.

Then he went forward.

Jeremy Glick boarded Flight 93 expecting a business trip.

Less than an hour later, he was deciding whether to fight four armed hijackers at 30,000 feet.

He knew the odds.

He knew there was a bomb.

He knew the plane was probably going to be used to kill more people.

And he still went.

He was 31.

He never came home.

But Flight 93 never reached its target.

A 2-day-old foal bouncing with excitement to see her mom 🐎💞

I watched this video and found it so adorable 🥰

It’s just a little filly, only two days old, named Miss Tehya. They were leading her out of the barn. And yet her legs kept bouncing, her head stretched forward as if she was about to meet someone very important.

She wanted to run to her mom.

Her legs were still clumsy, her steps unsteady, but you could clearly see how happy she was. It was as if the only thing worth doing at that moment was getting closer to her mother.

Foals can usually stand up and follow their mothers just a few hours after birth. That’s an instinct that keeps them from being left behind. But watching Miss Tehya, it didn’t feel like just instinct. It felt more like a little child eagerly running toward the person she trusts the most.

Miss Tehya was born at a rescue farm and is being raised safely. But while watching the video, I didn’t think much about that. I just saw a baby horse happy to be with her mom, and it made my heart feel a little lighter.

For people who raise horses, this moment probably means even more. It reminds us that the bond between a mare and her foal starts very early, and that keeping them close from the very beginning really matters.

Just a two-day-old foal, bouncing along toward her mother.

But it was enough to make me smile ☺️

NEW: Mother breaks down in court as she watches her son’s father abuse her child by making him run on the treadmill because he was “too fat.”

New Jersey father Christopher Gregor is accused of killing his 6-year-old son Corey Micciolo.

New footage shows the boy repeatedly face planting as Gregor forces him to run on a treadmill that was moving too fast.

The father was allegedly biting him in the head as he forced him to run.

Shortly after the incident, Corey was rushed to the doctor because he was slurring his words and stumbling.

During a CT scan, Corey had a seizure and died.

The autopsy report says he died from “blunt force injuries with cardiac and liver contusions with acute inflammation and sepsis.” (NYP)

Gregor is facing life in prison.
