2. how about for doing it with proper CRUD/FLS checks as part of the SOQL? It's required for ISV but should be "Standard Practice" and is in PMD, but it's hard to do. I know there is that new apex method coming..

@vladimge Global Picklists are great, but when will we be able to point 2 or more existing picklists to the same Global Value Set without changing the API names of any of the existing picklists? The refactoring isn't worth it on some business critical fields. thx
