Obama has the worst character of all, possibly, excepting Jackson.
Pushed into politics by literal murdering terrorist bombers, Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorn. Raised in Reverend Wright’s horrific “church.” Mentored by radicals. Wrecked the American healthcare system through lies designed to conceal that Obamacare was intended to trash medical care for the 75% of the population that had good insurance in order to provide more coverage for the rest. Literally promised the premier of Russia on videotape that he would be more accommodating of Russia once he got past those pesky voters for reelection. (Talk about foreign assets.) Hated the American system (“sometimes you’ve made enough money.“) until it made his family mega millionaires. Routinely droned Americans, and foreigners overseas. (Biden knowingly flooded the country with 15 million illegals, knowing how much damage that would do on so many levels, solely to enhance his party’s power. He knew he was crushing black families and their hopes for good schools and jobs for their kids. Arguably one of the worst racists to be in office since FDR.)
Obama: Incredibly smooth, makes a great appearance, and a nasty, nasty piece of work.
Trump is hardly an example of probity. Some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth is horrifying. But directionally he’s genuinely trying to do the right thing. It still fascinates me that he was literally beloved in democratic circles all the way up to the moment that he decided to run for president as a republican. When he did that, he was transformed into Satan by the press and his former party. Still the same guy, though:
@6abc So what?
And what is a “violent felony conviction“? And what about other criminal convictions? Or charges?
Or misdemeanors like DUI? People die from that, you know.
@YsabelJuradoLA So how exactly does someone who allegedly registered at a homeless shelter that has no beds collect a universally mailed ballot?
And how is it kept secure before the person to whom it is addressed picks it up?
And what happens to it if no one claims it?
Kimmel has amassed many millions of $ from playing blackface NBA players and videos of girls jumping on trampolines. Bolstered by not very funny "comic" diatribes on late night.
I look forward to his announcement of how he will distribute his wealth to the homeless and others more deserving. When can we expect it?
Months ago I said that one of the ephemeral things that was not being taken into account for the Midterms was the Summer 250 Celebrations.
I knew the Dems could not celebrate our country, and I was proven right.
What are we seeing?
Trump cleaned up DC in preparation for the celebration, and the Dems are complaining about the "waste of money" Fountains are working, reflecting pools actually reflect, parks are cleaned and streets are safe. The Dems still complain.
The original "bipartisan" (AKA known as the DEM led 250 committee planned very little to celebrate our Anniversary, so what did Trump do? He put together a supplemental group that is planning amazing events to bring people together in a variety of shared events at our Nation's Capitol. One of those was the "National State Fair" on the Mall, complete with musical acts to celebrate our country. What was the Dem reaction to those musical artists? ANGER that they would dare to perform to celebrate our country, so much ANGER that they persuaded some of those musical acts to back out of singing.
How do you think that plays in Normal America?
The Dems are raging about the UFC fight on the WH lawn, so much so that Eisen ran to Judge Mehta to try and cancel it, this week.
Can you even imagine the blowback if that Dem operative masquerading as a judge says he can't do it at the last minute?
I expect the Dems will also push back on the Street race and try to stop it as well. And they will probably try to stop the Fall High School Sports events.
They DO NOT WANT UNITY.
They push division and hate.
Never forget that.
Two other things are happening that are going under the radar.
The Europeans who came for the World Cup and are experiencing normal, outside the Acela corridor America. And guess what?
They LOVE it.
They are reminding AMERICANS of how wonderful our country is and marvel at things we take for granted. People are coming together over sports, food, things to see, travel destinations.
It is a GREAT unifier.
The Dems haven't figured out how to counter that, so they ignore it to their peril.
The other thing I noticed this year.
Go to Target, or Belks or any other Department store.
It's June.
What have we seen in years past?
Pride Month displays.
What do you see this year?
Patriotic displays.
Lots of flags.
Lots of Red, White and Blue.
Lots of we love our country energy.
The Dems thrive when they divide us, in spite of owning every institution, they cannot stop what is coming this summer.
A summer of celebration.
A summer of unity.
A summer of healing.
Breathe it in and enjoy every minute of it.
@GobblingMode@ForecasterEnten Unlikely, even if the homeless couldn’t vote. It’s hard to overstate just how stupid the LA electorate is. I lived there for almost 50 years, finally gave up and moved to Texas, where things are a bit more sane.
"Thug extremists" means what many states require.
How dare someone claim that a signature that looks like it was written by a drunken monkey using the wrong hand might not be legit-- in an environment where voter rolls are outdated, CA refuses to verify those rolls or allow the feds to inspect them as required by law, and blindly mails out millions of ballots to people many of whom are not even eligible to vote in CA (or are dead or long gone).
@Z_Archer25@ForecasterEnten@ThemanRodan Of course there was fraud. CA Ds insist on it. They just rammed through a law barring observers from challenging signature verifications
You’re whistling past the graveyard. Movie production/TV production, former mainstays of the local economy, are dead. Tech has gone elsewhere. lots of companies moving, or expanding facilities elsewhere. Tens of thousands of residents have left, and the tax base is shrinking, not expanding.
I’m sure that early fifth century Romans thought everything was great too. Oops.
“refugees.”
They are largely economic migrants. They take jobs away from citizens. Many bring the bad habits and attitudes that made the places they left such hell holes. large portions also demand that residents cast aside their own traditions and preferences in favor of adopting those of the boat people.
Unsustainable. And a perfect example of literally suicidal empathy.
I don’t disagree that Pratt chances of becoming mayor are slim and none. I don’t think he will make it to the runoff.
LA as a city is busy committing suicide. Reelecting bass will simply accelerate things. Raman would be worse. pratt’s biggest qualification is he’s not bass, who is a gold plated idiot. I gave up and left after 48 years.
Starmer and his colleagues have done an excellent job all by themselves in stirring up unrest in British streets. Two-tier policing does that.
How sad--and how typical-- that his response is to attack Vance, rather than address directly what is causing the unrest. Classic Labour.
And of course, he wishes to suppress the speech of others who point out the obvious.
@Facts_R_Good@AnnaBower@lawfare Same answer for the Gaza protests. No felony convictions. No jail, much less prison. All released same day after paying the equivalent of a parking ticket.
Ad hominem isn't that when it's true.
@Facts_R_Good@AnnaBower@lawfare Liar. They paid $35 and were released same day-- no trials, convictions, prison time. None were jailed or imprisoned. Just like the rioters at Trump's 2016 inauguration. All charges dropped for almost all. ZERO convicted.
The Left has special privileges
