@JNucci23 One more thing.....who gives him this assignment if he doesn't know what a courtesy car is AND if he doesn't know who the players are? My God, couldn't they find someone on the force that is familiar with the instructions given to players and officials when entering the club?
@JNucci23 Nice representative of law enforcement here.....Officer Gillis has been disciplined on several occasions for "conduct unbecoming" and he has been suspended a few time too. At what point do those in charge make the decision that this guy is not fit for the job?
All of the following feel true to me:
1. The OWGR’s biggest problem is with its name. It’s *not* meant to rank all golfers all over the world. Never was. It’s meant to rank golfers on qualified tours. Should there be an entity that ranks players on every tour? Sure, but I barely care. I’d have a great time if we had *fewer* exemptions. Make them all Monday qualify for the two Opens. Live stream it. Shotgun start them all. Don’t care.
2. The majors should probably create some exemptions for LIV players. But as the Masters and PGA have shown with Neimann, they can invite whomever they feel is essential.
3. If you are one of the best players in the world, you should not be afraid of sectional qualifying. You should shrug your shoulders and roll out of bed and shoot 67 and accept that as the trade-off for $50 million. You should not get any closer to being exempt for a U.S. Open or Masters because you beat Martin Keymer or GMac.
4. People who think The Masters will “lose credibility” if they won’t invite certain players don’t grasp how little the general public cares if the 30th best player in the world is there or not. The draw is The Masters and its tradition and history.
5. None of this grievance peddling is fun to debate or is even that interesting.
@ianmiles Respect is earned....not dictated to upon others. "Let me tell you something," you push your will on me, and I'll kick your ass to within an inch of your life.
