In 2023 it was assigned SEVENTY SIX Certificates of Sponsorship.

In just a single year. 

Countless similar businesses – barbers, fast-food shops, and dessert parlours – also held certificates to sponsor so-called skilled workers.  

Is slicing shawarma what comes to mind when you think of high-skilled labour? 

The Tories told us they were bringing in the “brightest and best” to fill skills shortages.

And make no mistake, it was the Tories that created this mad system.

In response to user questions about privacy: Since launch, Grok Build has fully respected zero data retention (ZDR). All users have always had the ability to disable data upload in the CLI.

When data upload was disabled, this choice was respected. In the early beta, data retention was enabled by default for non-ZDR users. Based on your feedback, we changed this. We are now going further to protect privacy.

With all retained data deleted, retention default off, and an open-source harness, we are offering complete user privacy. You can also run Grok Build fully open-sourced and local-first with your own inference.

We disabled default retention for all Grok Build users starting on July 12th. Additionally, we are deleting all coding data that was previously retained, ensuring every user’s preferences are respected. With these steps, Grok Build goes beyond other major coding products to protect user privacy.

Given the way this headline is worded, many are (understandably) taking it to mean Reform MPs have been given police protection by the state.

I want to clarify that the opposite is true.

The state is providing no protection whatsoever.

In fact, based on what I have seen in the last 48 hours, none of the government, the Speaker nor the police care at all about the security of Reform MPs.

Several of our MPs have written to the above in recent months about distressing, escalating security concerns, asking for help.

Their correspondence was not even replied to.

I will let you draw your own conclusions from this.

This essay fails to grapple with the challenges that the UK faces in the AI race.

Firstly, energy is barely mentioned, but it’s fundamental to AI and the wider re-industrialisation that Britain needs. Our energy costs are among the most expensive in the world. With Labour, you don’t get cheap energy, you don’t get data centres and you don’t get AI deployed in factories and good manufacturing jobs. Reform will scrap Net Zero and maximise all available energy sources, making electricity cheap and abundant for all.

Secondly, there is no plan for how to secure buildouts that actually benefit Britain and its local areas. Reform is looking into how local communities can be given a stake in data centres, such as through sharing in the business rates they generate, which can then be reinvested in local areas.

Under a Reform government, Britain will build an AI industry that can drive us to the technological and economic frontier.

I've been at @LivingFreedomUK all day & struck by how many young attendees are upset by Ann's death, a tribute the mark she made. Now to hear she may have been a victim of violence is so devastating, as she was so generous, even to those she disagreed with. It's to her credit we were unlikely allies as fellow MEPs in Brussels, both of us suprised how well we got on. The shock of this is so awful.
